Teeth
Love
Dark and
Like an endless field
Barbed wire and smoke
There is a ringing in my ears
Earth and sky
Somewhere between
We lie
Never a moment
To just look in your eyes
Not that I might see myself
But that we might find
Quiet
A warm embrace
Not to taste
Your sweat
Tears
A hole in the fabric of my longing
Cold and blue
Not without
But neither collected
Dreams and sweet desire
The cool water, lapping at the shore
Bridging the divide
Objects, and the Distance Between Them
