This post revisits a previous piece I had written, adding an audio recording as well as artwork. The artwork for today’s post is another collaboration with Jasmine, on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/mine_primel/. (Once more, if you would like to work with me on anything, please connect.)
Originally published February 1, 2019, this piece was a reflection on presence, a reminder to not get too caught in what has already been or what has yet to be. So often, we worry that we have missed something important or that we aren’t where we want to be in life, failing to take into account all that we have now, which often then become the moments we look back on fondly later.
Don’t miss the now, thinking about then. If you do, that is okay too. There is no shame, no judgment. Just be aware. Be present, as much as possible.

The original piece is below for reference, and can be found in its entirety at https://objectsanddistance.com/2019/02/01/the-good-days/
The good days come
And then go
So quickly.
At times
We are left
Wondering;
Have our best days passed us by,
Are they still to come,
Or are we living them now?
