Could love really mean
Being able to extend our selves emotionally
Into the reality of others?– Emergingfromthedarknight – When Pain and Love are Connected
I have listened
To so many stories of love
Lost and irretrievable
It would seem there is something
In my countenance
That elicits
An unobstructed view into
Hearts in healing
Now you have asked
The nature of love
And the dynamic it represents
Love is trust
Love is acceptance
Love is vulnerability
Love is a commitment
To maintaining balance
Love is roots
Tangled
Drawing from
One another
Love is knowing
Those roots may very well be ripped away
Comprehending and accepting
The pain that comes with
The possibility of
Separation
Love is putting down roots anyway
Love is kissing your wounds and using the stumps of prior entanglements
To try again
