A collective sigh
A good mind
Was released on
A star strewn night
Through which we know he glides
Free from form
A soul, reborn
A brief history
A future warm
And bright
A blinding light
And time, unable to confine
The man who saw what we could not
And told us through a chain of thought
We could not follow
And never will
Depart, good friend
Though let’s not pretend
This is the end
It’s only the beginning
So farewell, until…
Dedicated to the life and legacy of Stephen William Hawking, a visionary and brilliant light in a world of darkness and short-sighted foolishness.
