I wanted to write a poem about your beauty…
But for once, I did not know quite how to arrange the thoughts that drift in my head in such a way that could be written down.
I could not possibly imagine any combination of words from the English language that would adequately describe…
Not only the way you appear to my eyes,
(for they are of the body, and my body is so very far from you),
But more so the way you appear to my mind, my heart, my soul… which all call out for you now even though my tongue cannot pronounce your name,
Even though my hands are unable to touch you, to trace your cheeks and your lips, your collarbone and the mole just above and to the right of your belly-button,
Even though my feet are unable to bring me to the place where you are, to run to you, to dance with you, to curl up alongside yours as we lay by a fire after a day of hiking through a wooded hillside or walking along a gentle stream…

My darling dear… You are… More than words can ever say… More than an image could ever capture… More than the hours and days and weeks and years could ever fully allow for me to even begin to comprehend.
