Ashes scatter
Then fall
Evenly dispersed
As so many flakes of falling snow
On the otherwise barren soil
Leaving behind
The remains
Of a memory
Objects, and the Distance Between Them
Dreams, thoughts, and experiences expressed through poetry and prose
Ashes scatter
Then fall
Evenly dispersed
As so many flakes of falling snow
On the otherwise barren soil
Leaving behind
The remains
Of a memory
I like this … it felt warm in a sad theme. Perhaps in the end each flake is a memory, scattered? Lots of memories. Lovely. : )

Thank you! Memories… what separates them from one another? At what point does a memory begin and end? What is a lifetime: a memory or collection thereof?

Poignant. Loved the imagery of a scattered dream
