What is
Has not always been
Just as what is not
May have once been
We are all here
For such a limited period of time
Able to observe and understand
So little
Of what is possible
We wait
Hoping
That some day
We may interact
With something greater
Bigger than ourselves
Important
With meaning
With purpose
To admit
That we are not the center
Of every orbit
Is perhaps the biggest leap
We will ever take
A step
Small perhaps
In the grand scheme of all that is
But a step in the direction
Of understanding
Our true place
Our alignment
With our surroundings
And in doing so
Setting our feet upon the path
That will lead us towards
Where we are meant to be
I absolutely love this, my friend. Your words come at a perfect time for me, as I lately feel like I am finally doing what I’m meant to do with my life, but being able to accept that I am a part of a picture larger than myself is a crucial step in fulfilling my purpose. I so appreciate the message in your words. Beautifully written, my friend! 🙂

That makes me so glad, Manessah. You are, without a doubt, part of something bigger. I believe we all are inherently, but you in particular, in your words and the energy that you carry with you, come across as someone destined to be a contributor to a greater good. 🙂 Keep pursuing what matters to you. I believe you can achieve it.

You are very welcome. I am grateful to have been given the chance to interact with you here, and appreciate the opportunity to share thoughts with you. The same in return – don’t give up, and don’t stop being you. 🙂

We all are small cogs in a big perfectly running universe. We perform the tasks we are allotted/ meant to, and that’s where lies our purpose. You have written an excellent post.

Thank you, Sadje. I am sometimes unsure of how perfectly is runs, as there are so many truths that are hard to face and place within the larger scheme. But we do have a purpose. And there is so much we do not understand and never really can. We just do the best we can at what we are able, believing in ourselves and others…

Indeed, that what we CAN do. Believing in oneself and others and doing what we can. For others and ourselves.

Thank you, Dawn. A great question, and one I think about often. There are so many opportunities, and so many distractions, it would be so easy to “miss our calling”. But I think there is more to it than that. I think we find meaning, just as it finds us. We find purpose, value. We just need to keep our eyes open, as you allude.

“Realizing that we are not the center of every orbit” I think that’s part of the human condition, but it’s helpful when we try to see beyond that, to help others. It hurts when others don’t realize the same. Almost like people are means, not an end. Not for all, but some.

You are so right, Mandibelle. We inherently think of ourselves as important, and at face value, that is healthy and okay. The ego does has a purpose, and keeps us alive and fighting for survival. But it cannot to unquestioned… 🙂 We need to realize that others matter too… That we are all just people, trying our best to fit out worlds together…
