I know
Sometimes it feels like
There is no end
To the hardships
And the hard times
Each day brings more inflictions
Just as old ones start to mend
And sometimes it feels like
There is no relief
Watch as your life disintegrates
Frozen in time
Staring
In disbelief
But you are not the only one
Who feels this way
We all have lonely, starless nights
And dark days
Where the sun just doesn’t seem to shine
Or if it does
We sleep the day away
Letting nothing in
Telling ourselves
We’re better off alone
We’re better off this way
Don’t you see the paradox here?
Do you see the key?
Sure, the door to your heart may be locked and closed tight
But it doesn’t have to be
You are more than just a person
You are a part of something
You are a part of a larger whole
You are part of a “we”
And we
We struggle
And suffer
This much is true
But we carry on
We persevere
Knowing
That there is more to life
That what we feel
That what we see
There is so much more than us
There is so much more that can be
Lovely poem my friend, the blinder prevents us from seeing the hole picture tell we remove it.
