How often we fail to perceive
Beyond these pale forms
Seeing only what we desire
Thinking it right
Seeking only to prove
Rather than to seek proof
Believing that what we know
Is all that must be known
Caring not for truth
Preferring self-validation
But there is a darkness within me
The same as within you
A shadow cast
Which even the brightest light
Cannot erase
Cannot remove
Though there are days
Where the wind blows
Where the fixtures bend and sway
As patterns play upon the spaces that surround the black void
Dilluting and distracting
Drawing the eyes
Away from the emptiness
Out into the depths
Bringing out colors that cannot be described
Singing sweetly with the softest voice
Calling out
For redemption
beautiful! I loved it!

So beautiful and true. Extending ourselves into another’s reality or perspective can be so healing. Hugs ❤

It can be so healing, and can give us insight that we could not gain on our own… I am grateful for the perspective I gain from you and all of the others here (as well as for the hugs).
