On a Grand Scale

To give is to receive
Life
Can be made
To hold meaning
Beyond that which any words could capture
For value is derived
Not inherent
Defined at will
By those that conceive it

Time is much the same
In that our only evidence of it’s existence
Are it’s effects observed
Perceived and interpreted
Within a linear application thereof

At times it feels
We are just short of understanding
As frozen droplets composing the lake’s surface in frozen heart of winter
Attempting to deduce the function of waves

What progress could be made
Were we to break free the constraints of
Our own limited perspective
To draw from the wealth of data that lies within
Apparent ambiguity
To harness chaos
And in doing so
Free it of the shackles imposed by self-defined
Reason and order

To drift
Is to be guided nonetheless
Just as abstraction gives way to patterns and predictability
On a grand scale

      1. I am thankful to say that I am doing alright. It has been a difficult couple of months here, but with that has come such beauty and strength in the relationships I have discovered with people such as yourself. I hope the same of you, Maggie.

Actually I too have had a turbulent couple of months but it has birthed amazing things, massive changes and a future of unimaginable beauty and promise. ☺️
