In this world,
There is light, or there is darkness.
There are degrees in between
But in the end
There are only two sides
Of this cosmic drama.
When we pass
From what we know
To what we do not
We will be consumed
We will be subject to
One or the other.
A life
In pursuit of
That which is destined to crumble
And sink beneath
Layers upon layers
Can surely lead to nothing
But a destiny underground.
But a life
In pursuit of
That which flows freely
Through all
In the air and on the wind
Must surely lead to an end
That is unbound just the same.
Choose
What you pursue
For in the end
You will obtain it.
That’s so true.

I feel the passion behind the words. The fact the sun re-sets and rises each day could be a model to renewing the hope each day.
I adore your philosophical views and poems. They touch me. : )
