Been waiting oh so long
Here for a sign;
Are you alright?
Are you still… mine?
Stare at the sky
Late at night
Search for lights
Patterns of life
Intelligent design,
Wonder all this time
But I know…
Azure blue;
So far from home.
You’re still out there
And I’m left
All alone.
Sending signals, sparks
Into the dark,
Catalysts,
My only hope.
Aurora, drifting:
Three left, three right,
Fields and light
Aligned, combined.
Stars shine bright:
Three black, three white.
Three beams low, three beams high.
Surrounded by
Serpent shrine,
Devouring time,
But Luna shines.
Azure blue;
So far from home.
You’re still out there
And I’m left
All alone.
Sending signals, sparks
Into the dark,
Catalysts,
My only hope.
Stars above us
Willing guides,
On this path
Wind at our sides,
Not at our backs;
No free rides.
Can walk all night,
Still not arrive
So pick up stride
Move ahead-
Worlds collide.
Azure blue;
So far from home.
You’re still out there
And I’m left
All alone.
Sending signals, sparks
Into the dark,
Catalysts,
Our only hope.
Serene silence,
Ponder, still
Conserve, collate
Wait; fate; thrill?
Contemplate
Jaybird’s trill,
Masquerade
I’ll wait until…
Process, purpose
No false moves
In between Crimson
And…
Azure blue;
So far from home.
You’re still out there
And I’m left
All alone.
Sending signals, sparks
Into the dark,
Catalysts,
Our only hope.
This is great and the couples give it so much

Love that colour contrast of azure blue and the signal/spark, I’m imagining like fireworks. Great work!

This is truly beautiful! I love the use of the sky and stars; the darkness and the colors.
FYI – I’m inviting you to participate in the 3 day quote challenge. I hope you’ll join me! https://gratefulsinglemoms.com/2018/04/05/i-saw-a-star-day-1-of-the-quote-challenge/

The longing expressed is so palpable. Such a sweet song on separation.

Not quite paean, neither dirge, I’m glad you came and read.
Distance grows though motion slows, and words are left unsaid.
In song and verse, better or worse, the language seems obscure.
Through code and key, analogy, a message, blue/azure.
